Hey, It's Rai!
This is a blog dedicated to anime reviews. Everything I write is solely based on my opinion and thinking. I will only talk about anime I have seen, I will NEVER talk about something just to start a rumor or the like. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing these posts. -Rai

Cosplay Positivity
Akatsuki No Yona
My obsession for the LONGEST time now has been this manga.
I admit that when I read it, at first I was like “meh,” and dropped it the first chapter in. Let me tell you what a mistake that was. I'm still regretting it because I missed MONTHS of awesomeness.
Now I got into the manga again when the anime got announced, so I had little time between that and when it actually started to catch up. Since then I became hooked.
Hook. Line. Sinker.
I laughed so many times. I literally rolled around in my bed from either squealing or giggling. I cried in agony over how much Yona lost. But I also smiled because I got to see her rise from the ashes and what she has become is outstanding.
Now obviously the anime has so much to cover still and most of it is *NO SPOILER* Zeno's backstory. I love all four dragons and all their backstories are just heartwrenching but Zeno's man. Zeno's! It got me.
I want a second season so badly.
GIVE ME IT!

idolmaster
Hey It’s Rai
Anime: Idolmaster
It’s been a while since I have written here, or any other place really and I guess some of you might be wondering why.
Before I start going off the post’s track and I begin talking about my writer’s block, overcoming depression and many sad things like that, let us simply forget about it and say that I have turned a new leaf.
It took a while for me to get back on track and love my writing again but I am back (and hopefully to stay.)
I know I already wrote about it, but its something I wanted to talk about further. here's another look at idolmaster, the anime.
I have a lot planned for this blog so keep on the lookout for them.
Love you all.

~*~
Today we will talk about Idolmaster, the one anime that helped me overcome my fears and the one whom brought my faith back into anime that revolves around music.
Idolmaster was originally a video game franchise. Of course, we have talked about that type before haven’t we? I am referring to Maji Love 1000%.
Comparing these two is like finding a needle on a haystack. Each has its own differences, strength and weakness.
But, we are talking about Idolmaster now so let us get to it!
Idolmaster revolves around 765 Pro. It is a company with the ideal at hand to debut idols, talented girls who will shine and sparkle at whatever they will do.
Thus our idols come in. Twelve beautiful, talented girls, each one with her own unique charisma and back story as to why they want to become top idol.
Each passing episode gives you an insight into the live of one (or more than one) of the girls and their struggle to become known into the industry.
26 heartwarming episodes, each filled with song, hope, dreams and more importantly; friendship.
I believe that the top lesson you will get out of this anime is friendship and unity.
No matter the struggle, no matter how hard it gets, these girls will come to learn that the problems they are facing, no matter the size it appears to be, they don’t have to go through it alone.
Often, just being there for someone when they need you the most is the biggest help you can give. That is what I got out of the anime at least.
The songs are catchy, the animation is cute, the back stories pull you in and the plot is great.
I truly recommend this anime.

Hey It's Rai Reviews; Idolmaster
Hello guys and welcome to another section of Rai reviews.
I know I have not written a lot lately and even though I do not have any explanation other than writer’s block, I do assure you that I have been keeping up to date with most anime.
This spring I have been watching saint seiya omega, eureka seven AO and fairy tail as well as legend of Korra and watching other anime in between.
Most anime I watched this spring finished, bringing a sad empty void to my heart because I truly enjoyed them. So let us take a minute of silence for zero no tsukaima F and listen to me girls I am your father.
So, what anime will I review today? I am glad you asked. Yesterday I finished watching Idolm@aster and I enjoyed it so much I could not wait to write about it.
Idolmaster, as many of you probably already know is based off a array of video games and various spinoffs.
Okay, I admit I have not played any of the games nor had I any experience about the plot at all before I began seeing it.
I stumbled upon the anime on youtube. The first opening “ready” was on someone’s top list of openings and I found it so cute I did research on it and decided upon oh, what the heck I’ll give it a chance.
I was bored one day and I glanced at my to watch list, saw idolmaster on the top and looked for the first episode.
I have to say it takes a few episodes for you to fully get adjusted to the randomness going on but all in all, it is quite entertaining to watch.
The characters are amusing, intriguing and each one has a plot which will get you wondering and wanting even more.
The songs are catchy, the dance moves are amazing, I have no complains animated wise, this anime is absolutely amazing and breath taking.
I truly recommend it and it has become one of my favorites.

Hey It's Rai reviews; Full Moon Wo Sagashite
I wanted to write up a review about this anime for a while now. With the anniversary of my cousin's death coming up, as a tribute to her I thought okay I'll do it in January. And here we are now, so let's go!
Searching for a full moon is a totally different take on the magical girl stuff we normally have to deal with. It's a bit more darker, filled with in-between moments of slight happiness.
The story revolves around Mitsuki Koyama, a twelve year old girl with throat cancer. Her only dream is to become a world known singer so her songs will reach the person she truly loves, Eichi Sakurada.
Of course, Eichi left for America beofre she had the chance to tell him how she feels and now, with only a year left befoe she dies, she wants to be able to do so.
Her dream is made reality when two shinigami come into her life. Takuto and Meroko the dynamic duo who every time I look at them together for some odd reason Jesse and James come to mind. Maybe it's the fact that Meroko is an airhead, pink haired and lacks a brain. Or maybe it's the fact that Takuto is the brain of the team. Who knows.
Takuto slowly falls in love with Mitsuki. Which ironically turns out to be the daughter of one of the guys in the band he was in before he tragically died.
Yeah, that serves no plot twist whatsoever.
Meroko in the other hand is madly in love with Takuto and even though she's jealous of Mitsuki actually comes through a lot of times to save her.
Mitsuki on the other hand, is a clueless idiot let's leave it at that. She has no clue that Takuto loves her and it isn't until the last minute where she still chases after Eichi.
Eichi is an enigma and later we find out that he died.
Again, I repeat; No plot twists whatsoever.
Mitsuki was searching for aomething that did not exist. Takuto was wasting his powers on her for no reason at all.
Oh right I forgot to mention where the magic fell in all of this.
You see Mitsuki, by the help of Takuto, transformed into Full Moon. Full Moon is a sixteen year old pop singer with the voice of gods.
Not only does Mitsuki have throat cancer, a boy after her, school to deal with not to mention a strict grandmother but now she has to deal with record labels, song writing, a manager and a rival who hates her as full moon but loves her as Mitsuki.
Wow that was a mouthful.
All in all Mitsuki learns a powerful lesson and we do too.
Do not follow your dreams, as they will only lead you to a dark path?
That doesn't sound right.
Do not fall into depression when you find out your crush is dead?
No I don't think that's it either.
Fall in love with a shinigami, who happens to be your father's friend and now gets a second chance in life as a teenager?
What kind of message is that?
Okay, I give up. What is the message we're supposed to get here then? Your guess is as good at mines.
Putting aside all the plot twists, dark themes and idiot things Meroko and Mitsuki's grandmother makes us go through the anime is not so bad.
I highly reccomend it and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
See you next time when I review another anime.

Review of Uta No Prince Sama
So after I reviewed The Last Airbender I srarted thinking to myself and I realized that I have not watched any anime show in its full content, not even my top favorites.
And then I did more thinking and I wrecked my brain because come on that can't possibly be true. I know I skip a few episodes here and there but no I can't be that much of a disgrace to the anime community.
Zero No Tsukaima, Sola, Special A and Uta No Prince Sama are the only anime I have seen the entire season/seasons of and that is why I have made my decision to review the most recent one I have seen Uta No Prince Sama Maji Love 1000%
Uta No Prince Sama (the shortened name) was a psp game before it was turned into an anime. I have yet to play the game and I stumbled into the anime randomly ao I have to say when I saw it, I had no clue what I was getting into.
The series revolves around Haruka Nanami, a girl whose passion is making music. She enrolls in a music school and with it starts her adventure. Six guys fall in love or at least are infatuated with her? I'm still not sure what most of their intentions were, I mean to me it just seemed like she was their inspiration. Anyways, they like her but Haruka's only love is Hayato and music.
Remember one of my previous posts about protagonists in anime? Haruka has it all. She's naive, clueless and oblivious to any signs that all the guys like her.
Of course, there is a rule in the school where it states that relationships between students are strictly forbidden. Bad news for Haruka when she finds out Hayato is none other than Ichinose Tokiya, one of her classmates huh? Apparently not.
By the end of the anime Haruka is not seen ending up with anyone and the moral of the story is that.....Rivals in love work together to debut as a band when the girl of their dreams cannot choose any of them as her partner for her project?
All in all, this anime can use a better plot but the songs are catchy, the characters will pull you in and the story is not that bad.
Give it a chance, I highly reccomend it.

The Movie That Should Have Never Existed
Something compelled me to do this.
Perhaps it’s my sickness talking here but no it goes deeper than that because now I’m sober enough from my medicine intake to actually sit down and write this up.
Let’s face it. America has fucked up almost every foreign franchise that is good and adored by fans everywhere.
But nothing, absolutely nothing could prepare me for the worst of the worst; The time they actually fuck up one of their own.
I was appalled, left mouth agape and speechless beyond words as I forced myself to finish watching the movie.
Why did I do this to myself? Why had I not paid attention to my fellow friends that had witnessed the torture a year and a half before me? Because I was sick and sick people do some crazy shit I’ll tell you that.
So what had me so appalled that I could only stare at my computer screen speechless and wanting to utter every curse word I know?
I only have three words for you all; The Last Airbender.
Let’s face it, America has butchered series after series and in this blog I highly doubt I’ll ever get tired of repeating it but why? Why in their right mind would they butcher and turn their most amazing, breathtaking cartoon series of the new millennium into a live action movie?
The answer to that is that it’s simply what we do, we’re materialistic assholes that only have one thing in mind; Money.
Many will recall Avatar The Last Airbender, a cartoon series in Nickelodeon that lasted a few seasons and was quite entertaining to watch.
This series had it all. There was actually good action, humor and a pretty consistent plot that actually compels and draws you in. Aang, a technically speaking hundred and twelve year old kid who as the title says, is the last airbender. Katara and Sokka, from a water tribe find him in ice with his Bison, a flying monster of some sort named Appa. Together they’re on a quest, teach Aang the rest of the elements in time to stop the fire nation’s lord from gaining total control. Sounds easy enough, now what? Things only go downhill from there and soon they will learn that everything is not as easy as they had originally thought. They make friends, enemies and help a lot of people along the way that eventually do help them out too and there are not so many filler episodes as you actually would think there is. Most that would seem filler-ish actually serve a purpose later on.
But enough about the cartoon. Let us go and review, The Last Airbender 2010. It starts pretty much similar to the way the cartoon series starts out but wait a minute what the hell happened to Katara and Sokka? They look nothing at all like their counterparts and frankly neither do the rest of the cast. I get it, there’s a recession going on and most actors were most likely cast on lousy pay but they could have at least done an “effort”
Most of the plot is changed, most names are mispronounced, the costumes are horrible, the dialogue made me want to puke and by now I was thinking okay, maybe the effects will save this from turning into another Dragon Ball Evolution- Don’t even get me started on that.
Are you kidding? Are you freaking kidding me!? I admit that at first I was entranced by the effects but after a while I just lost interest. Water bending, earth bending, fire bending looked NOTHING like what I imagined and what saved it from being a complete and utter disaster was that hey, I actually liked Aang’s costume, props and his airbending. Oh wait pardon me, I meant to say I liked Uung’s costume, props and airbending because in this world his name starts with a U.
When did ATLA finished anyways? Let’s see……it began on February 21, 2005 and the last episode was on July 19th, 2008. When was The Last Airbender released in the US? July 1st, 2010 you say?
So wait……… you’re telling me that the whole company behind this had about roughly two years to actually get their facts straight and do some research to get it done right and this is their final product? Hell even Avatar that blue alien film back in 2009 had better plot than this.
That’s it I’m done. I’m leaving this in the never to talk about vault because frankly, this should have not even made it past the drawing board. I just hope they’re not thinking of making a sequel to this- oh wait……Legend Of Korra is due to start in the middle of 2012 which means that by 2015 the latest, there will most likely be another butchered plot to send to that black hole of a vault it should stay in.
